Herbs and Oils for Healthy Glowing Hair & Scalp

There are many Ayurveda herbs that can be used in hair oils to improve the health and appearance of the hair. The best way to use Ayurvedic herbs for your hair is to infuse them in a base oil such as coconut, sesame, almond, or olive oil.

This way, you can benefit from the properties of both the herbs and the oil, and also avoid any adverse effects. You can also make a paste of the herbs with water and apply it as a hair mask, but make sure to wash it off thoroughly after some time

Some of the common ones are:

Brahmi: This herb is known for its calming and nourishing properties. It helps to improve blood circulation, reduce stress, and enhance memory. It also helps to moisturize the hair, prevent split ends, and stimulate hair growth
Bhringaraj: This herb is also known as the king of hair in Ayurveda, as it helps to promote hair growth, prevent premature greying, reduce dandruff, and nourish the scalp. It has a cooling effect that balances the pitta dosha and relieves stress
Amla: This is a fruit that is rich in vitamin C, antioxidants, and iron. It helps to strengthen the hair follicles, prevent hair loss, and delay greying. It also has a cleansing and conditioning effect on the hair and scalp
Neem: This herb has anti-fungal, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory properties. It helps to fight scalp infections, dandruff, lice, and inflammation. It also helps to regulate sebum production, detoxify the scalp, and prevent hair thinning
Shikakai: This herb is a natural cleanser that gently removes dirt, oil, and impurities from the hair and scalp. It also helps to de-tangle the hair, add shine and softness, and prevent breakage. It is rich in vitamins A, C, D, E, and K that nourish the hair

How do you apply or use hair oil?
